Today’s SportsNews is a rapidly growing basketball site filled with many talented writers, but we’re looking for more! All writing positions are paid, and here’s what we’re currently seeking at this time (Updated as of 1/18/2015):
- Milwaukee Bucks columnist
- Toronto Raptors columnist
- Denver Nuggets columnist
- Los Angeles Lakers columnist
- Memphis Grizzlies columnist
- Portland Trail Blazers columnist
- Sacramento Kings columnist
- D-League columnist
If none of these positions interest you, don’t hesitate to reach out and inquire about a spot on the team if you feel you can fill a niche role (e.g. analytics, Film Breakdowns, X’s and O’s).
We’re looking for writers who are experienced, self-motivated and able to consistently generate quality story ideas. Writers will be expected to write feature stories (basic game previews and recaps are to be mostly avoided) that are at least 500 words in length (that word count doesn’t include quotes), and they must be prepared to adhere to a weekly writing schedule that includes deadlines.
