NBA Trade Rumors: Lakers Shopping Veterans, Grizzlies Not Looking to Deal Zach Randolph

The 2016 NBA trade deadline is rapidly approaching, and ESPN’s Marc Stein just released a batch of rumors for everyone’s enjoyment. Some of them rehashed some previously reported things (Rudy Gay available at right price, Bulls unlikely to make move, Pistons like Ryan Anderson, Kevin Martin/Markieff Morris very available), but there were a few interesting tidbits that were fresh.

The Los Angeles Lakers are more than willing to part ways with veterans Roy Hibbert, Lou Williams, Brandon Bass and Nick Young. The Lakers brought in Hibbert, Williams and Bass in the offseason in an attempt to be more competitive, but the season has been a disaster anyway.

Hibbert has a massive expiring contract, but his value has cratered this season. Williams and Bass are solid players on value contracts, so Los Angeles may be able to extract an asset from another team by moving them. Young has little value.

Over in Memphis, the Grizzlies don’t seem to have much interest in moving either Zach Randolph or Tony Allen.

However, soon-to-be free agents Jeff Green and Courtney Lee could potentially be had in the right deal. Memphis reportedly isn’t shopping either player, but instead gauging their value. There have been some issues with Green this season, while Lee isn’t shooting as well from deep as last year.
