In totally unsurprising news, Jimmer Fredette dominated the D-League All-Star Game and took home MVP honors as his East Team beat the West Team, 128-124.

Fredette even set a D-League All-Star Game record by pouring in 35 points and knocking down six three-pointers. He shot 13-of-19 overall and added eight assists and six rebounds in his 25 minutes of action:

Fredette has been lighting it up for the Westchester Knicks this season after failing to make the San Antonio Spurs and then doing very little in another brief stint with the New Orleans Pelicans. It’s a bit surprising that he hasn’t gotten another NBA contract yet, but perhaps one is coming after the All-Star break.

The day wasn’t all good for Fredette, as he lost in the finals of the D-League Three-Point Contest. Andre Ingram of the Los Angeles D-Fenders took home the title in that event with a record-tying 27 points in the final round.

The D-League Slam Dunk Contest took place at halftime of the All-Star Game, and the diminutive John Jordan represented the Raptors 905 team with a victory over the Canton Charge’s D.J. Stephens, whose 46-inch vertical is the highest ever recorded at the NBA Draft Combine:

That’s pretty vicious stuff from the little guy.
